Images of Whiteness is a desktop documentary film and video essay dealing with unlearning visual regimes of racism: specifically, images of whiteness in British mountaineering film. It focuses on the analysis of films related to the climbing of Everest and seeks to dismantle naturalised images of masculinity and racial superiority portrayed in them/attributed to white explorers by highlighting their coloniality, sustained by practices of domination, violence and extraction.
